Healing Recipes: Pear Cardamom Date Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe pears, peeled and cored
- 4-5 Medjool dates, pitted
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (or a non-dairy alternative)
- 1/2 cup almond milk (or any other milk you prefer)
- 1-2 cardamom pods
- A handful of ice cubes
Instructions:
- Crack open the cardamom pods and remove the seeds. Discard the outer shell.
- Grind the seeds in a spice grinder or with a mortar and pestle until you have a fine powder.
- Combine the pears, dates, Greek yogurt, almond milk, ground cardamom, and ice cubes in a blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. Depending on your blender, you may need to blend a bit longer to ensure the dates are fully incorporated.
- Taste and adjust the thickness by adding more milk, if needed.
- Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
