
Cardamom and Saffron Paan Rice Pudding

This rich and fragrant rice pudding brings together the delicate warmth of cardamom, the subtle elegance of saffron, and the refreshing essence of paan—creating a dessert that is both indulgent and refined.
Inspired by traditional preparations, this dish balances nourishment with aromatic depth. Cardamom supports gentle digestion, saffron adds a touch of warmth and vitality, and paan introduces a unique, refreshing complexity that elevates the entire experience.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup basmati rice
- 4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 1 tablespoons each Cardamom and Saffron Paan blends
- 1/4 cup chopped dates
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds or pistachios (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.
- In a large saucepan, bring the milk to a boil over medium heat. Add the rinsed rice and reduce the heat to low.
- Cook the rice in the milk, stirring occasionally, until the rice is soft and the mixture thickens (about 25-30 minutes).
- Add the condensed milk and Cardamom and Saffron Paan blends to the rice pudding. Mix well and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped dates and remove the pudding from the heat.
- Allow the Paan rice pudding to cool to room temperature or chill it in the refrigerator before serving.
- Garnish with chopped almonds or pistachios before serving for added texture and flavor.
